Successful school linking is a powerful vehicle which enables schools to fulfil the new DCSF guidance on Community Cohesion and enables students of all ages to meet the requirements of the citizenship curriculum and become confident and articulate young people. SLN has been developed to support schools and local authorities to tackle this work with clarity and enthusiasm. Click on the image above to visit the Schools Linking Network.

Local Authorities

A number of local authorities with schools from their borough participating in the Pathway have provided funding to enable schools to take part.. These include Barking & Dagenham, Brent, Ealing and Lewisham.

Schools

Each school has contributed to their participation - paying a membership fee to be part of the Citizen Schools Alliance and a Pathway fee.

The Citizen Schools Pathway is a dynamic way to bring schools together - to school link - and this has been recognised by the Schools Linking Network (SLN), who are funding a large part of the Pathway.

SLN draws on six years' experience of local linking in Bradford, where they now work with approximately 100 schools per year.

Citizen Schools is an initiative of The Citizen Organising Foundation, registered charity no. 1107264
